Bio: (From TNA Profile)
Jerry Lynn, a true pioneer of TNA Wrestling's X-Division, helped introduce the high-flying daredevil style back in 2002 when he was in the midst of one of the biggest feuds against AJ Styles.
Lynn brought his incredible X Style accolades to TNA at its 2002 inception, quickly becoming the cornerstone of the X-Division along with such stars as AJ Styles and The Fallen Angel, and would even go on to capture the X-Division Championship on two occasions.
Jerry Lynn also had the distinct honor of representing TNA as the captain of Team NWA during the acclaimed America's X Cup and World X Cup tournaments in 2004. While winning the World X Cup, Lynn would however suffer a near-career ending shoulder injury that had him sitting at home on the sidelines for nearly a year.
As the months went by, Lynn began to recuperate and he finally made his return on August 14, 2005 at the TNA “Sacrifice” Pay-Per-View where he defeated longtime friend Sean Waltman. It was redemption for Lynn as he proved he still had it in the ring, and at the same time he defeated a man who he had shared such great history with dating back to the early 1990's back in Minnesota.
Today, Jerry Lynn serves TNA Wrestling as a backstage agent; teaching and offering guidance to many of the young and talented X stars. As a former 2-time X-Division Champion and 2-time NWA World Tag Team Champion (with AJ Styles and The Amazing Red), Jerry Lynn still has the itch to step in the ring on occasion at TNA Live Events in local cities. It remains to be seen if Lynn will step back into heavy competition once again, but one thing is for sure, he still has it in him!
